As I was going through the images from Andrea and Rich's wedding, I was struck by how much it felt like "them". From the printed guitar picks on the tables to the bold color palette, their fingerprints were all over the event. It was fun, it was clever, stylish, a little quirky, and full of passion.

Engagement shoots are my favorite kind of sessions.
When I meet with clients to discuss what to do, I will pitch a few different ideas based on likes, personality, hobbies, and other information I've gleaned from our interactions. These pitches have generally been pretty safe, but lately I've started throwing out the Big Ridiculous Ideas to clients, and to my surprise and delight, they've been taking me up on them.

Sebastian works at a local microbrewery, and Marlo is a pharmacist... so naturally, when I first met them, they introduced themselves as Drugs and Alcohol.
This may have been the best first impression ever.

You'd be forgiven if you don't remember Melissa and Colin; last we saw them, they were carrying squash racquets and wearing short shorts and knee socks. Much different than you see them now.
